NATIONAL INSPECTION COUNCIL FOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION CONTRACTING (NICEIC)

The NICEIC is a charitable organisation, established in 1956 to protect consumers against unsafe and unsound electrical installations.

All Approved Contractors are subject to a thorough and ongoing assessment programme during their membership, and prior to being accepted. Staff qualifications, examination of their premises and equipment, and samples of their installation work are continually monitored.

If a problem arises between an NICEIC Approved Contractor and his customer concerning electrical safety standards, the NICEIC Complaints Procedure and Guarantee of Standards Scheme protect the customer.
