COMPANY BACKGROUND

Corlett Engineering can trace its origins back to the 1890's, and has got records of orders and work carried out over the decades. The Company made their own light fittings that were supplied to the thriving foundry industries, which were once prominent within the region.

Whilst the Company has always been based in Wigan, Managing Director Ron Marley first started his electrical career in Rochdale. When his then employers bought Corlett in 1981, Ron was made Manager and subsequently acquired the business. The Company now operates from premises in Gidlow Lane in Wigan.

Since that time, the Company has grown in strength, and now carries out many major contracts for customers such as local authorities and government departments, as well as private companies.

Corlett Electrical Engineering is a member of the ECA and the NICEIC regulatory bodies.
